Most eucalypts are native to Australia. The Eucalyptus genus containing over several hundred species of flowering trees, shrubs or mallees (in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae) and other genera in the tribe Eucalypteae, that include Corymbia, all of whom are commonly known as eucalypts.
