The Desert Mob event that has been held in the heart of Australia is the leading celebration of Aboriginal artists living across the vast region of Central Australia, home to where the contemporary Aboriginal art movement was born.
This significant celebration through the Desert Mob Exhibition and the Desert Mob MarketPlace festival is a unique and vibrant event curated by Aboriginal artists, being a nationally significant celebration of Aboriginal art and culture. An annual event that provides an insight of what is currently happening in the contemporary Aboriginal art movement.

This annual event is a collaboration between the Araluen Arts Centre and Desart, who are the peak industry body representing over thirty aboriginal art centres.
So come and experience the next event, where visitors, collectors and art lovers converge on Mparntwe (Alice Springs) to see first hand the bold, creative, and exhilarating statements by a big mob of Aboriginal Artists in the desert heart and landscape of Australia.
