The Adelaide Hills (known in early colonial times as ‘the Tiers’) is a region of the Mount Lofty Ranges east of the city of Adelaide. While the territory of the Kaurna Aborigines extended from the Adelaide plains to the westernmost part of the Hills, most of the Hills fell within the territory of the Peramangk.
