Australian and Other Wildlife
Australia has a bountiful heritage of fauna, from the native wildlife to the more commercial imported ones. There are many places where you can enjoy them, from national parks, wildlife reserves, reptile farms, conservation refuges and zoos. The assortment and variety of places are considerable.
The lucky ones, may live next door to a nature reserve or bushland, increasing the chances of seeing wildlife up close.
As towns and cities expand, wildlife adapt to the changing conditions, from possums in Hyde Park, Kookaburras that sit on the balconies of home units, and Peregrine falcons seen flying around the Central Business District in Sydney.
