Alice Springs Art & CultureAlice Springs Public Art

Alice Springs and the surrounding region is rich in art and culture. Whether it is some of the fascinating museums and historical sites, aboriginal dreaming and culture, aboriginal art and non-aboriginal art, there is sure to be something to interest everyone.

A great place to experience some art, culture and history is the Araluen Cultural Precinct that encompasses the Araluen Arts Centre (Art Galleries and Theatre), The Museum of Central Australia (incorporating The Strehlow Research Centre), The Central Australian Aviation Museum, Central Craft and then enjoy refreshment at Yaye’s Cafe.

Alice Springs host many exhibitions and festivals that are creative and arty in their own right, or have an art component as part of the festival and show. Some past exhibitions we have shown can still be viewed through our archives — Big Mob of Dogs — and within the section they are under.
