Projection Sundial
The projection sundial indicates the time and the date using a bright spot of sunlight projected through a hole in a metal plate. The bright spot of sunlight moves around a figure 8 shaped path (known as an Analemma) for any particular fixed clock hour as the sun’s position varies throughout the year.
