Tall Mulla Mulla (Ptilotus exaltatus) belong to a group of flowering plants known collectively as the Mulla Mulla, sometimes called Pussytails.

Ptilotus exaltatus, also known as Pink Mulla Mulla are one of the largest mulla mullas, commonly found growing on rocky slopes, gravelly, clay or stony plains and sand dunes. The flower spike has a pink to purplish head that extends above the foliage, which lengthens from a conical into a more cylindrical shape.

They are found growing widespread from the south-west and north-west coast of Australia, through the Northern Territory, New South Wales, Queensland and down south into South Australia.

Ptilotus exaltatus was previously grouped together with Ptilotus nobilis, but has now been reinstated as a separate species, P. exaltatus.
