Alice Springs and Central Australia is home to a number of Spiders genus/species. Belonging to the class Arachnida, more commonly known as arachnids, they share the class with other species including scorpions, harvestmen, ticks and mites.

Whether you have an arachnophobia (someone that fears spiders) or arachnophilia (have a love of spiders) or even had an arachnoleptic fit (that little dance when you walk through a spider web), spiders are an interesting part of the web of life.
