Pictured here from Alice Springs, along the Todd River just south of Heavitree Gap, is the Inland River Red Gum (Eucalyptus camaldulensis subsp. arida), also known as the Centralian River Red Gum.

We certainly love the River Red Gum and to learn that there are a number of subspecies, one found here in Alice Springs – Central Australia, is really great.
