The bright Annual Yellowtop (Senecio gregorii) is found in arid and semi-arid regions of Australia. The Annual Yellowtop pictured here were photographed in September around Alice Springs.

These cheery bright yellow flowers can grow up to 30 cm in height with yellow centre and surrounded by 7-8 bright yellow petals in a star-like formation. They are a sight to see after significant rain, especially when carpeting the landscape.
