Alice Springs Fauna •

Alice Springs has a great diversity of Beetles (in the class Insecta), that form the order Coleoptera, in the superorder Endopterygota. Their front pair of wings are hardened into wing-cases, elytra, distinguishing them from most other insects. As well as the brown and black beetles, they also come in a wide range of interesting colour forms.

Check out our index of Alice Springs Beetles page for more information.
