The White-spotted Swift Spider (Nyssus albopunctatus) is found across Australia.
They are a black spider with white stripes on the head and lines of white to cream spots on the body. The leg span is up to 3 cm and found in rainforest, open forest and grassland. Although rarely found in houses, the spider pictured here was relocated from within the house into the garden.
