The Jumping Spiders are a large group of spiders that constitute the family Salticidae, sometimes known as the Salticidae Jumping Spiders. As of 2019, the family contained over 600 described genera, with over 6,000 described species.

This group of spiders, whilst they may appear slow moving, are capable of being very agile jumpers, especially when hunting and in response to threats.

Jumping spiders are recognisable due to their eye pattern, with four pairs of eyes, the anterior median pair being particularly large.
