The delightful and cheeky Willie Wagtail (Rhipidura leucophrys) is another bird species that can be seen around Alice Springs. As well as enjoying bird baths in people’s garden, they have be seen in the botanic garden, parks and reserves around town. Recently, one Willy Wagtail has on it’s own accord, become part of the Alice Springs Desert Park bird show.
A black and white songbird, the Willy Wagtail has a narrow white eyebrow and whisker marks. It is black above, white below and black throat.
