The Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater (Acanthagenys rufogularis) is found in large part of Australia, except for the far north, southern tip of Western Australia and Tasmania. They are quite common in the arid interior and can be seen here in Alice Springs

This is a nomadic bird, although they can be seen in pairs or small flocks.
