Sydney Hyde ParkHyde Park Flora & Fauna Australian White Ibis (Threskiornis molucca), Sydney Hyde Park
Among the bird species that can often be seen in Sydney Hyde Park are the Australian White Ibis (Threskiornis molucca). It is a species that like the Rock Pigeons have adapted to urbanisation.
They are often seen rummaging around waste bins, looking for scraps of food, hence their other unflattering name of “bin chicken”.
