Alice Springs Gastropods (Gastropoda)Ambigolimax spp (Keelback Slug) Granulomelon adcockianum (Camaenid Land Snail)
Granulomelon adcockianum, referred to a group of “snails in the desert”, are in the order Stylommatophora, known as the Common Land Snails and Slugs.
Previously Pleuroxia adcockiana (Bednall, 1894), now Granulomelon adcockianum (Bednall, 1894).
In the following photo, you can just see the pale white trail that the snail left. It did appear to be that the snail may have got disorientated on the wide expanse of cement. It was relocated into the garden bed.
