This Eucalyptus Leaf Beetle has been identified as genus Paropsisterna, possibly species Paropsisterna laesa (also known as Paropsis laesa).

Paropsis laesa is a good guess. This is a species complex, containing several similar species, some not named. I have sometimes named these beetles P. laesa but am aware that sometimes it will be wrong.

P. laesa belongs to the genus Paropsisterna, a group of leaf beetles (many of whom feed on Eucalyptus leaves), who at the time of writing number some 120 species.

Paropsisterna beetles are about 3-17 mm long, have bodies that are semi-circular to elongate-ovate and moderately to strongly convex.
