Alice Springs Waste Stabilisation Ponds

The Glossy Ibis (Plegadis falcinellus) is a small ibis that has a olive-brown distinctive long, curved bill, with blue-grey facial skin is blue-grey and a bordering white line that extends around the eyes. From a distance, the Glossy Ibis looks black. On closer quarters the neck is reddish-brown and the body is a bronze-brown with a metallic iridescent sheen on the wings. The eyes, legs and feet are brown.
