There are a number of attractions within the town that you can include in your walk, with some taking in the spectacular scenery and landscape.

  • Bradshaw Walk and Riverside Walk (Easy 5.1 km loop walk)
    —  a popular trail for birding and runners.

  • Simpsons Gap Waterhole (Easy 1 km)
    — whilst just on the outskirts of Alice Springs, this popular walk can start from the car park into the gap and return. For the enthusiasts, you could walk from Alice Springs to Simpsons Gap Waterhole (approximately 19 km via Larapinta Drv/B6/State Route 6 and Darken Drive). Simpsons Gap is also part of the Larapinta Trail (a 231 kilometre walking track through the West MacDonnell Ranges).

  • Spencer Hill and Stuart Walk, Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historical Reserve (Easy 4.8 km loop walk)

  • Todd River Loop Walk (Easy 7.4 km loop walk)
    —  a popular and easy walk. Different times of the year and after significant rain, cast a different experience when seeing water along and in the river. You do not need to do the whole loop and depending where you start the walk can change the length of the walk via any of the intersecting river crossing at Stephens Road, Tuncks Road, Stott Terrace, Undoolya Road and Schwarz Crescent. Parking is available at a number of spots along the route, including along Leichardt Terrace,
