The National Road Transport Museum is well worth the visit, especially for those into vintage vehicles.
Outside is the Old Ghan Loco and it’s carriages an Australian icon.
The entrance is the Service desk with a shop and memorabilia and the Ghan Museum in the first building, plenty of things of interest to view.
Entering the 1st large shed — Buntine Pavilion,
Rows of Vintage Cars and vehicles, all in restored condition, it’s really a sight to behold especially for Vintage car buffs.
Entering the 2nd large shed — Kenworth Dealer Hall of Fame
Rows of immaculate Kenworth Trucks, another sight to behold, you can actually climb into one of them.
Then there’s the Trucks In Action Shed with old vehicles such as:
- 1942 Diamond T980 — Beetha
- 1957 Rotinoff Viscount Roadtrain — Julie
- 1934 AEC Land Tractor
All that and the history and tales of a bygone era. Well worth a visit here.
