The nomadic Flock Bronzewing (Phaps histrionica) are endemic to the more arid parts of Australia. Observed in a variety of habitats from grassy plains to spinifex, saltbush and mulga country, they have a need for water, and are seen near pools of water, stock tanks, bore drains and wastewater treatment (sewerage ponds).
