The Hylaeus (Hylaeteron) douglasi pictured here is on the Flame Grevillea (Grevillea eriostachya), taken about 50 kms south-east of Geraldton. They have also been documented on Grevillea erectiloba and Grevillea excelsior.

Both male and female of these species have red legs and have only been documented in the Western Australia regions.
