Hylaeus nubilosusMud nest Yellow Mask / White Mask
Hylaeus nubilosus is a medium size, slender native bee that has the conspicuous yellow thoracic badge mark on the dorsal surface of the thorax (the scutellum and metanotum), that is a common feature of the group of Masked Bees. This group of bees also have bold yellow or white markings on their face. The face marking of the species Hylaeus nubilosus is ususally white, although there are observations where Hylaeus nubilosus have a more yellowish tint to the masked face (as seen here).
