TetragonulaTetragonula carbonaria
The genus Tetragonula is one of the largest genera of stingless bees. The Tetragonula native bees were previously called Trigona, and are also commonly known as Stingless Bees, Sweat Bees, Sugarbag Bees.
Usually a small black bee, some species do show some other colours, such as Tetragonula carbonaria that appear to have a white/grey head and on some individuals a green metallic sheen to the abdomen.
