💛💛Look at this fluffy wasp💛💛It’s appropriately named the Yellow Hairy Flower Wasp💛💛As adults they are nectar-eaters and pollinators💛💛This pretty one is a male💛💛After mating, the female digs into the ground in search of a scarab beetle larva “curl grub” where she will sting and paralyse the larva and lay an egg💛💛Once the wasp larva hatches the beetle larva will become its food💛💛The wasp larva will eat & grow, then pupate and emerge from the ground as an adult wasp💛💛
