Australia is home to many thousands of native species of wasps (and a few introduced and feral species), with some of the wasp species being solitary, whilst other live in groups.

Pictured here is a diurnal, robust orange and black, solitary wasp, genus Australodynerus, from the subfamily Eumeninae.
