Alice Springs Desert Park
The spectacular blue coloration of the Splendid Fairy-wren (Malurus splendens) is a sight to behold. The brilliant blue colouration is the breeding plumage of the male of the species.
This small bird is found mainly in the semi-arid and arid regions of Australia and can often be seen roaming wild through the park.
