It is estimated that there are more than 200,000 species of insects in Australia, with some 62,000 having been identified and named. With the growing interest in insects, many more are being collected for possible identification for the first time, often by ‘citizen scientist’.
As you stroll through the desert park, keep your eyes peeled for the many insects to be found.
