Arachnology is the study of the group of creatures called arachnids (genus Arachnida). The arachnids include spiders, scorpions, harvestmen, ticks and mites. Visitors to the Alice Springs Desert Park can see some of this group of creatures in the Nocturnal House.

A walk through the desert park (whilst keeping your eyes open for some of the smaller creatures), should also reward you with some great discoveries of the world of arachnids and insects.

As we continue to explore the Alice Spring Desert Park, we will add more of what we see here, so keep checking back with us on this trail of discoveries…
