Insects at the PondsPie-dish Beetle Tawny Coster
We were happy to photograph the Tawny Coster (Acraea terpsicore) at the Alice Springs Sewerage Ponds in February 2023. The Tawny Coster is a small butterfly, approximately 53-64 mm and belongs to the Nymphalidae (Brush-footed Butterfly) family. It is common in grassland land and scrub habitats.
