Temognatha flavocincta was a widely occurring species (now appears to be more rare) found in temperate woodland and semi-arid mallee-heath areas. The head has densely white-hairy frons, pale yellow margin on pronotum and elytra. The pronotum is mainly black, coarsely and irregularly pitted and thickened. The elytra is a dark red and has prominently hairy underside.
This Temognatha flavocincta was found on mallee flowers near Hopetoun in Western Australia.
