The Golden-browed Resin Bee (Megachile aurifrons) are a blackish looking bee with white stripes across the abdomen and whitish fuzzy covered thorax. A unique feature of the bee are the red eyes and the golden coloured brow. Under certain lighting conditions and sometimes affected by the pollen they collect on their abdomen, they may appear black and blue.
We hope you enjoy some of our short video footage of the Golden-browed Resin Bee (Megachile aurifrons). These were filmed in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.
