Ctenotus helenae, commonly known as the Clay-soil Ctenotus, is a species of skink in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to Australia, with observations in the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.
Ctenotus helenae is terrestrial and diurnal (found active during daylight), in a wide variety of habitats including forest, shrubland, grassland and desert regions.
The specific name, helenae, is in honour of Helen Louise Pianka who was married to the American herpetologist Eric R. Pianka.
