Calothamnus quadrifidusCalothamnus quadrifidus (Yellow Form)
Calothamnus quadrifidus (in the family Myctaceae), is also commonly known as One-sided Bottlebrush or Four-Cleft Calothamnus. Pictured here is the “yellow form”, that differs to the standard “red form”
A member of the family Myrtaceae and is endemic to the south-west of Western Australia. Belonging to the genus Calothamnus, of which there are more than 40 species, all of these being found in south Western Australia.
Related to Melaleuca, Calothamnus quadrifidus differs in the arrangement of the anthers on the ends of the stamens. The common name of One-sided Bottlebrush, alludes to the arrangement of the flowers in the inflorescence which line up on one side of the stem.
