Bynoe’s Gecko (Heteronotia binoei), also known as the Common Prickly Gecko, are widespread in Australia, found both in natural habitats and within people’s gardens. They do occur in arid regions throughout central Australia, with the Bynoe’s Gecko believed to be the most abundant reptiles in these arid areas. It is believed that there are several sub species.
In many gardens they can often be found sheltering under rocks, flower pots and other undisturbed garden ornaments.
