Commonly known as the Fire-back Huntsman, Beregama cordata is a species of spider that is endemic to Queensland and New South Wales in Australia.
Beregama cordata is one of Australia’s more colourful huntsmen, with the female spider become almost orange in colour as they mature and with a flame-like pattern on the abdomen. The male remains brown.
Beregama cordata closely has similarities to several other Australian Huntsman spiders, particularly those from the genus Neosparassus, except that Beregama cordata lacks the black patch on the underpart of the abdomen which is found on Neosparassus species.
