The transformation of Art Gallery of NSW into a two-building art museum, that almost doubles the space for the display and enjoyment of art, has been a great achievement and provides a new modern extension to the existing building (originally designed by Walter Vernon, 1896). The new building (by design architects SANAA and executive architects Architectus) has won the Sulman Medal for public architecture.
Sydney Modern Project already have an evocative and mind blowing exhibition, enjoyed by many including us, and we look forward to the many future exhibitions.
