Pink form of the Sturt’s Desert Pea

Presented here is the pink form of the Sturt’s Desert Pea (Swainsona formosa).

The pink form of the Sturt’s Desert Pea is the hybridised variety of flower that is a cross between the scarlet and white form. Often variable, from strong pink to pale pink, the boss is also usually a darker pink to the flower.

With the pink variety of the Sturt’s Desert Pea, there is often variation in the hue and how pink the flower and boss will be, with the possibility of the more pale almost white form appearing on the same flowering plant.

In the following you can see the pink to white form of the Sturt’s Desert Pea, with the white having the pink boss, unlike the white form having a white to hint of green boss.
