Eucalyptus Leaf Beetle (Paropsisterna m-fuscum) is a small beetle, sometimes just commonly called a Leaf Beetle. Their host plants are the Eucalyptus spp.
This Leaf Beetle is usually pale in colour, with variable light to dark brown markings on the elytra and pronotum. Some have no obvious colour/pattern change to the ‘skirt’, others have a pale to opaque looking ‘skirt’ . The larvae are pale green blending in with the colour of the leaves they are found on.
They are known to be prolific in some regions, and treated as a pest.
