The nesting of Meroglossa rubricata
How much colour variation can a species have I wonder. I guess it depends on the species, some more so than others I suspect. The first pic is a male Meroglossa rubricata, maybe the one on the pink leucoxylon is too, but it was more orange than red, seemed longer and had slightly different back markings.
