One of the common ladybird species is the Transverse Ladybird (Coccinella transversalis), also known as the Transverse Lady Beetle. They can be seen in the desert park, as well as urban gardens, parks and reserves.

The Coccinella transversalis prey on a variety of plant-eating insects, especially a large number of aphid species and leafhopper species, among other insects.
