Rhytiphora dallasi is a member of the Longicorn Beetle group (sometimes spelt Longhorn Beetle) and known for their long antenna, that can often be longer then their legs.

Rhytiphora is the largest Australian genus of longhorn beetles (family Cerambycidae, subfamily Lamiinae), comprising about 200 species.

The deceased specimen pictured here was in the Alice Springs Desert Park.

These sit on / feed on Acacia sp., and come to light at night, and mainly emerge very soon after a decent rain event.1
