So the whole day was dedicated to getting one pic of one bee, just one job… The most beautiful Trichocolletes, Trichocolletes pulcherrimus. 😉

In Latin pulcher means “beautiful”, rimus is the third declension to the superlative and means “the most”, like in English adding est to “fast” or “pretty”… And she really is, she’s also so big and bright (and loud) that you can see/hear her over the other bees while your driving… And I do have some great pics of her but what I was missing was one clear shot of her in flight without the Gastrolobium pea flowers she feeds on (and blends in so well with as you can see in the following pics 😃) stuffing up the shot… 😆

1st pic, Woohooo! That’s the one I wanted… 😃 Job done… Problem is, apart from now really wanting a pic of the male to kinda finish the set, as well as wanting more/better pics of two new bees I also got pics of, I glimpsed at least three others I don’t have pics of yet… Woohoo! Gonna need another Bush run road trip! 😃
