One of the smallest of the Australian birds at 8 to 10 centimetres in length, the Spotted Pardalote (Pardalotus punctatus) is considered moderately common in various parts of Australia (especially the east coast, the south-east, and the south-west corner of Australia).
The Spotted Pardalote male (Yellow Throat) pictured here, presented himself outside our loungeroom window. He seemed to be interested in insects attached to the glass (or maybe its reflection).
The following male Spotted Pardalote from 2018, where it was nesting in a soil bank created by a flood.
