One of the wonderful reptiles you may see at Uluru is the Central Netted Dragon (Ctenophorus nuchalis). It particularly likes elevated areas like fence posts, rocks and tree stumps, especially for basking in the sun, although they do retreat to burrows when it is too hot.

Their beautiful coloration, often reflects the colours in its surrounding environment.
