Dendropemon subfasciatus is a member of the Fungus Weevils group, in the family Anthribidae.

Weevils belong to the beetles order Coleoptera, within the superfamily Curculionoidea (Snout and Bark Beetles). One of the main difference between typical beetles and weevils, is that weevils have a long snout. The fungus weevil pictured here has the apically clubbed antennae.
