Commonly known as the Mud-dauber Wasp (Sceliphron laetum), this solitary and active wasp, can be found collecting mud for construction of its mud nest, as witnessed here at the Alice Springs Sewage Ponds.
In the following photo, you can just see the ball of mud that the Sceliphron laetum has collected for construction of the mud nest.
