Flora at Kunoth BoreYellow Form Harlequin Mistletoe
This Harlequin Mistletoe at Kunoth Bore is the yellow form of the flowering Harlequin Mistletoe (Lysiana exocarpi subsp. exocarpi). It can usually be found growing on the Dead Finish (Acacia teragonophylla), especially on the shrubs around Kunoth Bore.
The curve shaped flower tube in this sub-species is no more than 5 cm in length and are found in clusters of 2-3, with the erect flowers on a very short stalk.
The leaves are hairless narrow and curved with a length between 3-10 cm in length and 1 cm in width.
The Lysiana exocarpi subsp. exocarpi is more commonly seen with red and green flowers, the colour forms being yellow / green form and red / green / yellow form.
