Diatenes gerula, is a member of a group of moths known as Erebidae Moths. Also known as an Owlet Moth, that is a common name given to the Noctuidae, the largest family of the Lepidoptera, that is a large and diverse family of moths.
The specimen pictured here was sighted in Alice Springs, Central Australia, NT.
